Wicktonville Fire Department
The Wicktonville Fire Department is committed to the protection of life,
property and the environment. As an emergency response and community service
organization, our goals are to limit the risk of fire, to limit injury
and property damage associated with fire, explosions, hazardous materials
incidents, storms or other natural emergencies.
Wicktonville Fire Department is led by a full-time fire chief, Chief
Sparky Fischer. The department is otherwise empowered by a cadre of 17
volunteers. WFD volunteer firefighters are responsible for responding
to all fire calls. (Members of the Wicktonville Police Department are
paramedics and are the first-responders for all medical emergencies.)
WFD has two full-time pieces of fire apparatus in service, currently
based out of the along NE Wicktonville Blvd near Athens Street. The Department
is actively pursuing an additional engine/pumper and aerial (ladder, Snorkel,
TeleSquirt or tower) rig.
WFD also has one open position in volunteer Company A. If you are a Wicktonville resident and interested in volunteering, please visit our Volunteer page. |
